Community Sharing is a non-profit agency that coordinates a food pantry and clothing pantry and provides financial assistance for utility shut-offs, eviction notices and other emergencies. They also offer referrals, life skills education, youth tutoring and advocacy to eligible local residents. The original request was to purchase a commercial grade freezer so they could accept more frozen or freezable consumables. During the grant review Community Sharing received the gift of a commercial freezer from an anonymous donor and asked to revise their request to purchase additional food commodities. During the past two years their numbers of clients have doubled and additional food and other emergency supplies will help them meet some of those new requests.
